The department has started functioning since 1983 with inception of BSc Mathematics in the college. Statistics is taught as a subsidiary at the degree level. Sri P.P Chandrashekhara Pillai, Sel.gr. Lecturer is the H.O.D

The Computer wing of the department is very much helpful to the students in acquiring computer education. More over the dept .has been conducting a series of student-oriented program to equip the students to address the challenges of the time
