About the department
Department of Hindi has been a part of the language department of D. B. College since its inception in 1965. In 1980 it became an independent department with the sanctioning of BA Degree Course. Even in its infancy the department drew wide attention by producing remarkable results at the university level. The Students of this department secured first rank in the MG University Degree examination four times. During the academic year 2008 -09, the students of this department bagged the first and second ranks in the M. G. University Degree Examinations. In the academic year 2010 -11 our students repeated the history by bagging the second and third ranks in the Degree examination at the university level. All the five faculty members of this department are Doctoral Fellows with wide research experience in the discipline.
